Sculpture

Hi, i’m Vincenzo Greco, sicilian sculpturist and contemporary artist.
LeMy sculptures are born from a profound connection with the culture and traditions of Sicily—a land of light, matter, and contrasts—and they open themselves to a cosmopolitan vision, in constant dialogue with the world and with the inner universe of the viewer.

My art is rooted in the dialogue between past and present, between the memory of my island and the inspirations that come from distant cultures.
Every sculpture is the result of an artistic and personal journey that unites Mediterranean roots with universal influences, with the intent to create forms capable of evoking deep and authentic emotions.

Techniques and materials: from marble to bronze, from glass to clay

In my artistic path, I explore different materials and techniques, each with its own expressive language.
I work with plastic modeling—clay, earth, wax—where the gesture adds and shapes the material; and with subtractive sculpture, where marble, stone, or wood are liberated from their raw form through chisels and traditional tools.
I also use bronze and metal casting, a technique that transforms molten matter into dynamic, vibrant shapes.

Every step is a dialogue between hand, material, and spirit: sculpture becomes a bridge between technique and emotion, tradition and innovation.

Sicilian art that speaks to the world

Through the years, I have had the honor of bringing artistic Made in Italy to many Italian and European cities, participating in exhibitions, events, and collaborations that have given international visibility to my work.
My sculptures are housed in private collections and public spaces—symbols of an art that is born in Sicily yet looks far beyond its borders, toward a universal horizon.

My goal has always been to create a sculptural language that unites the strength of matter with the lightness of the soul, keeping Italian artisanal tradition alive while projecting it into the contemporary world.

Sculpture as a universal language

I believe contemporary sculpture is a universal form of communication, a way to express what cannot be spoken.
Each piece is an encounter—between culture and nature, between the weight of stone and the transparency of glass, between the energy of bronze and the softness of clay.
Through these combinations, I strive to convey the value of art as a human experience, as a reflection on time, memory, and the essence of our being.

A bridge between Sicily and the world

From Sicilian origins to an international dimension, my artistic journey is a continuous exchange between local identity and global openness.
Art, for me, is a boundless journey—an invitation to see the world with new eyes, to be touched by emotion, and to rediscover the beauty of pure forms, authentic gestures, and matter coming to life.

Let’s work together!

1. Idea Development

In this phase, we talk together about your idea: what you want to communicate, which materials to use. This is the moment when we put everything on the table, explore all possibilities, and begin giving concrete shape to your project.

2. Planning and Design

Here I shift from theory to practice: after defining the idea together, I create drafts, sketches, or digital previews to show you how the piece will take shape. This is the moment when we choose proportions, colors, and details together, refining the project until it fully reflects what you envisioned.

3. Creation of the Artwork

At this stage, the idea comes to life. I work with the chosen materials and begin creating the piece according to the project we defined together. Every step is carefully executed, respecting what we envisioned from the start, until the final result takes concrete form.

TESTIMONIALS

What people say about me

“Vincenzo Greco employs an experimental technique, a method rarely seen today. This approach reveals a profound world, just beneath the surface, floating atop the golden texture of the material. Only a few colors are used to transform the Sand of the Valley of the Temples into true art. His artworks and mosaics are genuinely stunning!”

Vittorio Sgarbi
Italian Politician

“If memory serves me right, my first encounter with Mr. Vincenzo took place in 1998. Our relationship has since developed, helped in large part by the fact that we both share a deep passion for the same art. I was responsible for organizing several exhibitions of his works in Tokyo and Osaka.

Vincenzo Greco is both a hands-on artist and a true theoretician. He never compromises and is extremely dedicated in his research — a determination that sometimes works to his disadvantage. Yet, I cannot help but admire his extensive knowledge across multiple disciplines.

His creative approach and devotion to traditional methods are clearly reflected in his recent, remarkable series of works. I feel a profound sense of emotion in witnessing the publication of a book featuring his artworks, marking the completion of his one-hundredth piece.

I would like to conclude by expressing my sincere hope that he continues to pursue this art form in the years to come.”

“The Lights and Shadows series evokes a world of infinity, dreams, and imagination. The faces, the moon, the shells, and the leaves create the impression that it is the wind of silence itself that is blowing.”
